Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

First time in this place. Food is super fresh and the salsa is AMAZING. I got the carne asada street taco which was good and mom got the pollo asada which she said was excellent and fresh. Margaritas were good but be ready for some lemon. Would definitely return. Hidden gem.

First I read the reviews, which seemed mixed. Offering a free margarita for a Yelp review seemed a bit shady, but I thought I'd give it a try because I was hungry. As we approached the place, I was also a bit hesitant about the location. Could a Mexican food place adjacent to a Super 8 Motel have anything decent? I was really questioning my judgement at this point, but was really hungry by now. I'm glad I didn't second guess myself. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the complimentary (but as other Yelpers mentioned, watery) seafood soup. Good flavor and a kick of chipotle. My fajitas were delicious, and the chile verde was also flavorful. My son got, of all things, PANCAKES... They were fluffy and tasty as well. Overall a decent experience, and no, I didn't get the free margarita!

Not going to lie. This is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. First off, the waitress was very friendly. Even brought us a yummy cup of seafood soup while we waited for our food to come. I had the spicy shrimp plate and it was spicy and packed with tons of flavor. The shrimp was cleaned well and was super fresh. And it was a lot of food. Definitely coming back to try more of their authentic dishes!
(5)Dima Y.
Friendly staff, family feel, pretty large dining room, no need to fly to Mexico as the place is very authentic. My camarons Al mojo de ago was average (I get better one at our local El Maguero in San Carlos), but seafood soup is large and tasteful with plenty of seafood, margarita is great and actually contains tequila, so overall its a good place.
(5)Bryan S.
Place had great Margarita's, big helpings of food, and a fantastic waitress who was very helpful, oh and of course our compliments to the chef! We will be back again for more.....,,try them, you'll like it too.
(5)Rosco P.
Nice booths, big TVs for sports, friendly atmosphere for kids in the early evening. Chips and salsa free of charge and free good soup. Regular "tex mex" choices are solid and the shrimp and seafood quite good.
(5)Radiah F.
Went there with my boys to get food to go. We were given chips and salsa, and samples of the seafood soup while we waited. The chips are fresh, made in house everyday, and my boys devoured the soup. Ordered the shrimp cocktail and was very satisfied! It was packed full of everything! The portions were generous and everything was good! We will return!
(5)Karima G.
Great spot, great food! They even bring a sample of soup, when you sit down. So charming!
(5)Chris B.
Fast service, order Carne Asada tacos. Meat was moist and flavorful.beans and rice tasted authentic too. Don't let the dated outside fool you the food is really good.
(5)Gary A.
My wife and I have been eating here since it opened a couple years ago. Tony is a great chef, and his food is always a cut above the rank and file Mexican food that is available in the area. His dishes are thoughtful and have an interesting touch, with everything from seafood to deconstructed enchiladas, to one of my favorites, the Mangos Taco. The crew is rather small, so if there is a large party or a full house, the pace of service will slow down. Be patient and be rewarded for the wait, or simply come back another time -- either way, with Tony cooking for you, it will be worth the effort.
(5)Mary Oseguera A.
Great place to eat. Everyone is friendly. Margaritas are great. I recommend this place highly. Food is great.
(5)Ramiro Z.
Wow! The food is great! I'm not even going to try to describe. I feel like I'm at a great Mazatlan Mexico restaurant enjoying the fresh seafood. Try the Micheladas too. What a great place. The Cheff is Tony (Great personality and eager to see you enjoy your meal) I will definitely be back with the Family.
(5)Orion R.
Nice place. Lot of options. Good service. Very filling and authentic. Must visit if you are in the area!!!
(4)Sandeep V.
Descent. .. Value for money. Recommend it if you want to try out Mexican..... Less vegetarians openings
(4)Torie P.
This place is DELICIOUS. The best Mexican food I've had in the Bay Area, by far. Everything was well seasoned, the salsa is delicious, and the service is quick. So good.
(5)Brian J.
Love the food but been here 10 minutes and haven't been able to order need more servers. Starrs are depleting as i wright this.
(3)Nicole S.
Delicious!!! Such great flavor! And they give you a caldo de mariscos (broth with imitation crab and cilantro) that is super yummy as your free appetizer.
(5)A V.
I really enjoyed the complimentary soup. It came to our table super hot and savory. I had the milenesa chicken torta and it was pretty good. They put refried beans IN the torta which I wasn't used to but not bad. The torta was so big that I could only finish half of it. It came with a side of fries, which were sparse but I was too full to finish my plate anyway. My friend had a shrimp cocktail and the portion size was decent size and filling. Pretty standard Mexican food with decent prices. I'll come again since I live pretty close.
(3)Jeremy T.
Unbelievably slow, unbelievably loud, obnoxious music, zero service (water, chips, salsa all were one-time, no refills provided). Food was hit and miss. Excellent shrimp cocktail, machacas, and mixed seafood plate (Acapulco del Rey), but terrible chicken fajitas and kid's chicken plate. Overall, even knowing which dishes are great, we'd never go back.
(2)KIAN P.
We just happened to drive by this restaurant and were hungry....little did we know the food would be sooooo good. I ordered the quesadilla with carne asada and a chile relleno a la carte and both items were delicious! My husband ordered a carne asada and grilled shrimp plate that he enjoyed and literally ate the plate clean. Their chips and salsa are yummy and their complimentary seafood soup is also quite tasty. I must say....we're coming back! Prices are reasonable and the staff is sooooo nice!!! We truly enjoyed this experience!
(5)Amy R.
Iced tea in a beer stein. Free cup of soup? Delicious. This place is great! The menu has great variety. And their salsa is great.
(5)Michelle G.
Great food.! Fast service.! Waiters are really friendly.! Highly recommend this place.! Happy Mother's Day.!!
(5)Sonny R.
Food was good enough, taco truck style burrito in a restaurant environment. They don't try to over glorify a burrito with too many extras, just good food. The servers need to learn to serve more and chat less. I'd come back.
(3)Eduardo A.
Delightful Mexican food, delightful little free cup of soup, delightful service by a delightful waitress. This is a really great spot, and I'm glad I found it.
(5)Jerry M.
Excellent variety of food choices. Staff is super. If you want seafood they have it. If you want Mexican they have it. Good and friendly atmosphere.
(5)Daniel M.
Nice Mexican restaurant, lots of choices to pick from, doesn't matter what you're in the mood for, I'm sure that they will have something that you fit you (as long as you enjoy Mexican food)
(5)Barry L.
Driving around on a Sunday morning looking for a place to sit down while I waited for my daughter found this delightful little restaurant so far I'm enjoying it very much I had a super taco with carne asada they gave me a complimentary soup. Clean establishment with a friendly staff.
(4)Mina G.
EXCELLENT food. Very authentic. I'm coming back. I ordered the pescado ceviche and chorizo tacos. Amazing.
(5)James Ryan C.
First time here, outside posters attracted my attention. First walked in its pretty big, dance floor with pool table 2 tvs 2 mini bars, ordered al pastor super burrito which was iight nothin to great about it cuz the marinade was iight, I'll come back to try other food items
(3)Kevina B.
Came all the way here for a shrimp cocktail! The BEST in the area! Great customer service too!
(4)Mikey O.
Out here for work and staying in the super 8 that's right behind it. Really friendly staff and the price is right!! Come in for good mexican food!!!! I mean you can't really pass up a review on yelp for a Free margarita!!!
(5)Kaci C.
The reason this restaurant has such great reviews is because they offer you a free margarita if you review them on yelp. As badly as I could have used a margarita after enduring the less than stellar service we received, I decided to take one for the team, forgo the drink and hopefully save you from a mediocre (at best) dining experience. I came with a party of 11. Thirty minutes after the first person in our party got their food, the last member of our party got hers. To make up for the delay, they were kind enough to offer her a free extra ingredient- a hair. Delicious! This was after the server attempted to bring several meals to our table that we did not order. Should have just taken what they brought. The food was decent but not worth the wait. And don't get me started on the bathroom. I would definitely not eat here again.
(2)Tom D.
Friendly, happy, comfortable. With pretty low prices. And a name change, so now it's called Mango's. Authentic Mexican. Good salsa. The only fail is that when you call ahead, they don't start the order until you show up. I can understand that if there are pranksters calling up and ordering who don't show.
(5)Susie C.
I love this place!!! The wait staff are friendly and lovely - the food is very good for the price - I would love to bring my hubby (who grew up in El Paso) next time!!!
(4)Beth K.
Here, I couldn't get waited on, I couldn't get coffee, had to ask for instant, as I was so thirsty. Finally, after one half hour after coming into this place, the regular coffee was made, but came out as one half pot. The waitress seemed to ignore me, and I had to constantly get up to get her attention. I had to talk to the COOK to take my order. She did not bring me chips. When groups of men came in, it was INSTANT chips delivered to their table. I was SURE on my own and the only thing pleasant about the experience was the burritos were very good. I also had to climb out of my seat and beg for the check. I wonder why I was treated this way.
(1)Heidi A.
Found this place on our way to a museum. It was amazing! The salsa was very tasty, we got free seafood soup which was also very good. I ordered a Carne asada taco plate which was so yummy, maybe even the best tacos I have ever had. I am very impressed!
(5)Jackie N.
The salsa here is incredible! Ask for super spicy if you want the insides of your mouth to singe off and then cool it down with a delicious margarita!
(5)Everett S.
Really good find. The chips and salsa is really good and the Michelada's are amazing. Check this place out for sure.
(5)Fernando R.
I really enjoy the wide variety of foods and their great customer service. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to taste delicious Mexican food.
(5)Betty G.
This place is awesome. The lady waitress is always so nice. I've ordered a few times to-go over the phone. Once when I got there she gave me some chips & salsa during the brief wait. The food is delicious, I always get the bacon breakfast burrito (bacon, potatoes, cheese & eggs). I have tried their enchiladas combo, also very good!
(5)Anna G.
Not good. They start u off with a half basket of chips for two. 2 Tablespoons of salsa. A broth in a small foam cup. Took 20+ minutes for 2 chili verde burritos. Breakfast after 11:45 goes from 7.99 to 12.99. I am writing this to save you from going to check it out. The burritos were less than tasty. Chili verde had no flavor. If u ask for salsa it is Taco Bell hot sauce in a bottle. Save your money and time. Go to Taco Bell it has more flavor.
(1)Bill B.
Food is just okay and don't be in a big hurry. The service was painfully slow. It took over a half hour to receive our food after ordering and the place was only about 20% capacity. Not the cleanest place in town but pretty authentic Mexican food. We probably wouldn't come back.
(2)Ken W.
Great server, good Monday specials. They even brought us FREE soup as an appetizer. Neighborhood gem!
(4)Adom K.
One of three places I eat Mexican food north of San Diego. Recommend #82, the whitefish stuffed with crab, shrimp, octapus, queso fresco and veggies. Slow down a little when you get here and the service will feel like you're on vacation.
(5)Mary L.
Salsa is bomb. The portions are big i ordered two tacos and could barley finish. The service is mediocre. Prices are decent.
(3)Terri D.
We were so excited to try out a new resturant. I checked the reviews...4.5 out of 5 stars OK this place should be rocking. We ordered 3 margaritas, 2 shots of Patron, carne asada burrito & a pollo super taco. Let's just say the experience did not live up to the reviews. There was a hair rolled into the burrito, not on the outside. The regular margarita had a lot of something in the bottom of the glass. I don't know maybe I've watched to many bar rescue episodes. It certainly wasn't pieces of lime. But the worse part is the bill came to $49 minus the burrito with the hair in it. They charged the same price for a shot of tequila as they do a margarita. Disappointing is an understatement. I was really hungry since I hadn't had much to eat today. But now I'm just praying I don't get sick.
(1)Talia S.
Incredible tacos! Amazing burritos and the nachos are superb. I must say this place knows good Mexican food, however the service could be better. The horchata is quite fabulous. If you're in the area, try it out! You won't regret it.
(4)Jay L.
First time here. The waitress is nice. The chips and salsa are delicious.. Best salsa ever.. Not your average.. Cute little bar.. Big TV screens.. The nice waitress served us all a cup of caldo with crab in it! Yummy.. Authentic Mexican food! Definitely coming back here!
(5)Daniel M.
Not the greatest food and the prices don't match the quality. Decided to try this place out after reading some good reviews. The food and atmosphere left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Read the reviews!!! Most of the truth is leaning towards the bad.
(1)Aaron C.
Authentic. Great variety on the menu and bar. Chips and salsa and soup to start were tasty.
(5)Cindy M.
We had a large party (25-30). August 1st, it was a hot day/evening, 6 pm. We asked for water. They started taking drink orders. I recognize they make more $ off mixed drinks, but we were thirsty! Part of our party was served their meals before half the orders were taken, and still no water. . After the Forth request from me, amongst others, and an hour, they finally brought a few pitchers of water. The food was okay (not great), but they were painfully slow and disorganized. It should not take 3 hours for a party of that size. We had reservations. They should have set up in advance. They walked around with the food, and kept asking who ordered what. Our guests of honor, the bride and groom to be, finally had their food and drink orders taken when over half the table was Done eating. Ridiculously bad! It has new owners, and I assume it will close again and be sold soon.

On a short vacation in San Jose, was looking for a good Mexican restaurant. I started looking for restaurAnts on yelp found one that caught my attention. So funny because as i was trying to find the restaurant that we wanted to go to i notice this bright little building on the side of the road as i was u turning, found Mangos Grill. This place had poster all over their window with delicious food it made me so hungry decided to stop by and try it out. My husband and i were so happy we did stop here. This restaurant is nice and clean which its a plus for me since cleanliness is a must for me. Entering the restaurant the employees made us feel welcome, our waitress was very friendly and Had a great sense of humor. We were seated right away since it was not that busy. My husband order a michelada beer and i order a strawberry margarita (both were extremely good). Husband said best Michelada he had ever had. I have to say we both were very pleased and satisfy with our food and drinks. I definitely recommend this place and definitely will come back if we are in San Jose.
(5)Angela T.
Super burrito ! Really convenient and close to downtown. I really like the Mexican food here. Wasn't very crowded so it was a perfect choice for lunch. The waitress was very nice and ready to take our orders when we came in. I definitely will come back to this restaurant.
(5)Fiona L.
Had a work day lunch here, seafood are fresh and huge portion. I'm all filled up by the oysters. All the sauces are flavorful, lots of layers and everything is well made.
(5)Mo M.
Very good place to go and.eat its quick n fast. So if you driving in San jose stop by and eat here on the way out
(5)Gisell I.
Extremely disappointed I've been sitting here for a half hour and haven't even received the appetizers we ordered. I asked for 5 minutes to look at the menu and it's been 25. For what they are charging you would at least respect the customer. Not to mention they have a party going on which they are giving preference to. What kinda shitty service is that ? Don't own a restaurant if you can't handle the heat ! I was better off going to tequilas on the west side. Update : finally got the appetizer and must say the food is pretty darn good (so far) and makes up for the awful service and tardiness and rudeness. Nevertheless the quality of food is impressive so I might just bump up the stars after the main course. The main lady who originally helped is seems to be the only one working she's the tallish thin one with long hair . The other lady working is dissapointing she took our menus before we even ordered the language barrier didn't help either . Let's face it we have to be able to communicate. Nonetheless the original waitress is great. Main course sucked. 70 dollars later.

It was a Friday and my boyfriend and I were looking for a sit down Mexican restaurant..we found it. The food does in fact deserve the five stars it receives, the carne asada and shrimp was juicy and flavorful, and what I had specifically noticed was the perfect texture and color of the beans. They had appeared to be made the same day as well and were presented well for being a side dish. I tend to look at the beans in specifically because I prefer them more wet with crumbled quesa on them. Not just was the food awesome but the customer services is perfect, immediately upon arrival all the staff had smiled, waved, and thanked us for coming. They make you feel like they are honestly happy you have came, though I do still wonder why every other table got salsa with their chips and we didn't? Perhaps if you order fresh guacamole you don't receive a side of salsa? The really only down side to my visit was the out dated decorations and the entire restaurant's presentation, once you see the flat seats at the booth with holes and dirt surrounding you begin your dining expectations low but the food and service clearly pack a punch to that.
(4)Mikael G.
Great starters and very friendly service. This place is top notch. Awesome. Incredible!
(5)Louis G.
Did not think it would be as good as it is being right by the super 8, but I was 100% wrong. Amazing chips and salsa with chopped avocado in it. Complimentary crab soup when we sat down. Delicious homemade horchata. I ordered a super wet burrito with steak and shrimp and it did not disappoint at all very moist and flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the chili relleno and it was also amazing. Their margarita was very delicious and strong. Great customer service everyone is so friendly! Definitely our new Mexican spot in San Jose!
(5)Elison C.
Mexican grill is a quiet restaurant and have a good food and great service, definitely come back again!
(5)Karen S.
Just finished with our delish meal! The restaurant is super cute. Reminds me of my many trips to Mexico. My man had the beef, mussels, and shrimp combo plate. Tasty shrimp sauce, and yummy everything else. I had a regular chicken burrito. Scrumptious as well. We really enjoyed the complimentary soup, and great chips & salsa. Only downside is meals came out of the kitchen at different times, with my Fiancé's more than 5 minutes before mine. I also observed this happening at another table. Really good food. Once they get the timing down in the kitchen they will approach 4.5 star status.
(4)Melodie G.
Great chips and amazing salsa. Comfortable atmosphere with a very friendly staff! They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions, so that was a plus! I had the super veggie burrito mojado and a lemon margarita (which was AMAZING). The food was also great! I'll definitely be back!
(5)Maricela E.
Their portion sizes are huge no joke everyone's food is enormous so the price is very accurate. I had the shrimp cocktail and it was the best one I've ever had !! I'll probably be back tomorrow for the shrimp soup !
(5)Michael W.
I have been driving past this little gem for 10 years and finally decided to pull in for Cinco de Mayo. The meat was excellent and the service was friendly and the margaritas are worth it. I'm glad I took the time to stop by.
(4)Gerardo Z.
Look no further for The best Mexican food in San Jose stop on in for authentic home style Mexican food you will love it #HELLAGOOD I had the PLATO DEL PATRÓN I recommend it you won't be disappointed
(5)Ana T.
Short and to the point. Wrong order, seafood molcajete, was brought to the table. I touched the fish, oops. It was sent back with no issue. Waitress offers it to another table multiple times until it is accepted (instead of tacos). I contact the manager by phone after leaving. His reasoning? One of the men at the table was a "friend." Well, it's still a health code violation. He then apologizes and says he wouldn't have known this was going on if I hadn't called. What?!?! He was a friend, but he didn't know it happened. Right.
(1)Blu M.
The Best Salsa and the chips are fresh made, fast service, very easy to find Wow there margarita is huge
(5)Scott R.
Awesome Mexican joint. Came here for taco Tuesday and margaritas. The place feels like Mexico, the service was amazing, the food was good and the drinks were strong. Definitely coming back and hippie we get our same server, who we nicknamed "Bonita".
(5)Gabrielle C.
Chips and salsa are yummy! Restaurant is clean. Waitresses friendly. Chavelas look yummy!!
(5)Sean S.
Excellent margaritas and plate sizes are reasonable. They're located next to the super 8 so parking is ok. Also yelp reviews get you a free marg.
(4)Prime O.
Came here on the way to an A's game and was pleasantly surprised! On Monday they do a 2 for 1 entree choice with several selections to choose from, and after ordering we got samples of their seafood soup which were served hot and quite delicious! Their salsa here is very flavorful and unique, something I value in good Mexican food. We ordered the enchiladas with chicken and the camararones diablo. The enchiladas are amazing. Highly recommended and the camararones were fantastic! Very authentic cookimg. Plus as a bonus they have El Yukareco habanero hot sauce, and Salsa Huicho two of my favorites!
(5)Dave B.
Very authentic feel. Premium salsa with little chunks of avocado is amazing. Icing on the cake is the fact that I got a margarita for writing my review! Place is worth a visit! Breakfast it's only served until 11:45 am, so get there early if you want to try it. Both Mexican and non Mexican (pancakes) are available.
(5)Manda C.
My very first time here and it was really good. I haven't experienced a place that was so friendly and inviting. There service is great and genuine. They start off with chips and salsa, I got to say that the salsa was one of a kind. To die for! The menu was easy to read and not so over whelming. It was written both in English and Spanish with pictures. They have a great seafood menu authentic plates form Mexico. It all looked appealing. I would come back an eat here again. Thanks mangos Mexican grill for the nice experience.
(4)Angelina S.
Yummm, I love the shrimp empanadas! They are absolutely delicious. I've never had them any where else. If you love cheese and you love shrimp these are the appetizers for you! I also tried the carne asada burrito for the first time and it was also so delicious. Tony the chef knows Mexican food!
(5)Tanya N.
This place is awesome! Authentic Mexican. The michelada is huge and it comes with two large garnish shrimp. I ordered the super burrito with carne Asada and the portion was just right. We tried the seafood soup because they were passing out samples and I would recommend it for a hangover. Come here for the michelada!
(5)Elizabeth W.
An unexpected find on the Alameda connected to a Super 8 motel. Really friendly service. Extensive menu covering all the usual suspects, plus a lot of seafood specialties. Service was really friendly. Free chips and salsa and a free cup of seafood soup offered before you even order. Check it out!
(4)esther f.
This is the best place for a shrimp cocktail or in general, anything else. Prices are reasonable. I love the salsa and chips, the carne asada tacos, . I've been here many times and I'll keep coming back. Tony is the best.
(5)Danny K.
What's not to like about this place? They have a full bar and super fresh seafood. Highly recommend the camarones a la plancha (grilled shrimp)......but the coctel de camarones (shrimp cocktail) was Amazing! Friendly service, reasonable prices. We will be back tomorrow for breakfast! We are in San Jose to watch a Sharks game and spending the night at the Super 8 which is attached to Mango's.
(5)Steve C.
Must try if you're in the area! Chips and salsa area tasty! They gave us a sample of their soup of the day "Caldo de Pollo" :) Very spacious yet accomodating.
(5)Marie M.
Although the waitress was nice the service was extremely slow. The food was good. The management needs to schedule more staff.
(2)T. C.
A good Mexican restaurant ..happy that now i don't have to go all the way to the east side to get good food. ! The staff is great, the host and waitress both nice .! The coctel de camaron was tasty and huge!!! for like $12 ! i will definitely come back for more. ! They do give you free chips and salsa ,always a plus! Plenty of parking .. I live so close to the Rose Garden and drive by this place all the time , easy to miss since its under the Motel 8 .. great find.!
(4)Chris G.
States the night at the Super 8 hotel in San Jose. I was starving and tried Mangos since its directly connected to the hotel. Fell in love. Great food, awesome margaritas!!! I would definitely come back. Love this place!
(5)Craig M.
This place is a kick! Food is tasty but overall vibe is kind of strange. Five of us ate here for the first time and we all enjoyed our meal. The waiter brought out some free tomato cilantro soup that was really good too. Our waiter was nice, and not around often. To her defense she was helping other customers while the other staff seemed to just "hang out". We all got our food at once except for one of our friends, his food sat at the kitchen counter for over a few minutes before the waitresses helper noticed. They over charged us $6 but not a big deal. The Mango margaritas were pretty good and i got my house margarita for free with writing this review. The biggest turn off was the club environment they had going on in the other room. They were playing louder music and it was only 7:30pm. Also, it would have been nice to see the other staff pitch in and help out our waitress and work more as a team. Overall, I liked my interesting experience here and I think my friends and I will be back.
(3)Stephanie A.
Great buy one get one free margaritas foods great but yelp Can suck it the service cool great location highly recommended
(5)Nikki W.
The food was great at first and the service was not too bad either the first few times I went there. But the more I went the service got worse and the food was very inconsistent. Last time I ate there's stomach was upset for a week. Never going back.
(1)Jimmy G.
Great restaurant, chips are fresh and complimentary soup to start was tasty. Music was on point and bar was also a full bar with a wide selection or liquors.
(4)Julie R.
Came here for a mini vacation and I would have to say I am so impressed! Supper authentic Mexican food. The micheladas are amazing!
(5)Sonia G.
My first time here. Came here because of the great yelp reviews around 5:30pm for a family dinner on Cinco De Mayo. Immediately, we were greeted and asked to sit anywhere. Place was a bit empty but we were having an early dinner. The homemade chips and salsa were bomb! I ordered the nachos and a margarita. Both were really good. We asked for waters all around and we never received any. The waitlist was busy accommodating everyone else for us to nod to her to ask for waters a second time. When the margaritas came out, I remaindered her we needed water for my daughter and us. We finished eating and it was really obvious- my husband was walking the baby and my ten year old was playing with the candy machines. I had to wave for the waitress again for our check. By that time, I was ready to go and left home very thirsty. I think the waitress was overwhelmed with the people coming in as it got later- I only saw her waiting tables. She was very nice and pleasant though. Place is big and good for a big party. I don't know if I will come back.

I wasn't expecting anything fancy, this being attached to a Super 8 Motel, but I heard they have tasty food, which turned out to be true. The redeeming quality here is that the flavors were very good. Everything else was hard to deal with. Extremely slow service (no drink refills, took a long time to get waited on, 25 minutes just to get the check.) Filthy tables, a couple of bugs crawled across while we were eating. We 'reminded' our wait staff that we never got the sides of rice and beans, but she never brought it so I had to ask for it to be removed from our bill. I noticed that they have a mobile food truck that goes out with the Mango's name on it, so perhaps that is the best way to get to these interesting flavors. The tortillas were very good as were the main entrees, and the salad fresh. I really think if they worked on cleanliness and service this place could be a destination. For me, I won't be going back anytime soon.
